Sheena is the S.T. Lee Professor of Business in the Management Department at Columbia Business School, widely and best known as an expert on choice.
Her research focuses on the many facets of decision making, including: why people want choice, what affects how and what we choose, and how we can improve our decision making.
She has presented TED talks on choice and is the author of The Art of Choosing (2010), and Think Bigger (2023)

Dan Maccarone
Dan Maccarone is the Chief Product Officer at Think Bigger, where he leads product strategy and development for the tools that bring Sheena Iyengar’s innovation methodology to leaders and organizations.
With over 25 years in product and design, Dan has helped shape 100+ products, including the original strategy and UX for Hulu, Citibike, Foursquare, Rent the Runway and transforming brands like the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Comcast and GE. With a career-long focus on turning complex ideas into things people actually want to use, his client work spans Bloomberg, Blade, TD Ameritrade, Kaiser Family Foundation, and CNN.
He is also the founder of the NYC-based product strategy and design studios Hard Candy Shell and Charming Robot. Dan is the author of the Audible Original The Barstool MBA, host of the podcast Story in a Bottle.
